Papaya put to the test: is it a superfood for nutrient absorption?
NCT ID NCT01748916
Summary
This study aimed to find out if papaya is a better source of carotenoids (healthy plant nutrients) than more common foods like carrots and tomatoes. Researchers measured nutrient levels in the blood of 16 healthy volunteers after they ate meals containing these foods. The goal was to understand how well the human body absorbs these beneficial compounds from different sources.
