Papaya, carrot, tomato showdown: which fruit delivers more nutrients?
NCT ID NCT01748916
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether papaya is a better source of carotenoids (nutrients that give fruits and vegetables their color) than carrots or tomatoes. Sixteen healthy adults ate meals containing one of these foods, and researchers measured how much of the nutrients got into their blood. The goal was to see which food helps the body absorb more carotenoids.
