Could a 15-Second tweak get more women to return for Life-Saving cancer checks?
NCT ID NCT06968871
Summary
This study is testing if a small change to the Pap smear procedure can encourage more women to get regular screenings for cervical cancer. Researchers are adding a brief, painless step at the end of the test for some participants, hoping it improves their memory of the experience and makes them more willing to return in the future. The trial will involve about 250 women in Taiwan to see if this simple, low-cost change increases screening participation rates over one and three years.
