New imaging study reveals how eye implant fights uveitis inflammation
NCT ID NCT04340505
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study followed 30 people with uveitis, an inflammatory eye disease, who received a fluocinolone acetonide implant to control their condition. Researchers used special eye scans (OCT, OCTA, and fluorescein angiography) to measure inflammation changes over 12 months. The goal was to see if these imaging tools could better track how well the implant works, beyond standard eye exams.
