Surgical superglue aims to seal deadly leaks in delicate cancer operations
NCT ID NCT07155525
Summary
This study is testing if a special surgical glue can prevent dangerous fluid leaks after major pancreas cancer surgery. About 194 patients having surgery for pancreatic or related cancers will be randomly assigned to receive the standard surgical connection or the same connection with the glue applied. The main goal is to see if the glue reduces the rate of these leaks, which are a common and serious complication that can delay recovery.
