NCT ID NCT07414004

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at over 2,400 pancreatic cancer patients who had surgery to remove their tumor and repair a nearby vein. Researchers compared those who had open surgery (a large cut) with those who had minimally invasive surgery (small cuts with a camera). The goal was to see which approach led to fewer blood clots and serious complications after surgery, and which helped patients live longer. The study did not test a new treatment, but rather gathered information to help doctors choose the best surgical method.
