NCT ID NCT06801769

First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how fat buildup in the pancreas (pancreatic steatosis) is connected to diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Researchers will use a special ultrasound technique to measure the fat and compare it with blood sugar and other health markers. The goal is to better predict who is at risk for type 2 diabetes. The study involves 100 adults aged 18–80 who are already scheduled for an endoscopic ultrasound for other reasons.
