First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a medical glue (Glubran 2) to the standard surgical connection after pancreas tumor removal can reduce the risk of a dangerous leak called pancreatic fistula. About 100 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard connection or one reinforced with glue. The main goal is to see if the glue lowers the rate of these leaks within two weeks after surgery.
