Massive global study maps pancreatic disease burden in seniors through 2040
NCT ID NCT07177599
Summary
This study analyzed global health data from 1990 to 2021 to understand how often pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis occur, cause death, and create disability in adults aged 70 and older across 204 countries. Researchers examined patterns by region, sex, and development level, and used statistical models to project what the disease burden might look like by 2040. The goal is to provide information that can help health systems prepare for future needs, not to test treatments.
