Scientists test growing a Patient's own insulin factories

NCT ID NCT07118475

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new approach to treat diabetes. Doctors will take a small sample of a patient's own pancreatic tissue, grow special cells from it in a lab, and then transplant those cells back into the patient. The goal is to see if these transplanted cells can produce insulin, potentially reducing or eliminating the patient's need for insulin injections.
