New hope for pancreatic cancer: phase 3 trial launches

Summary
This study tests a new chemotherapy combination (paclitaxel polymeric micelles plus gemcitabine) against the current standard treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer. About 416 adults who have not had prior treatment for their advanced cancer will take part. The goal is to see if the new combo helps control the tumor longer and improves survival.
