New surgical strategy tested for advanced pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT07340151

Summary

This study is testing whether surgery can help control pancreatic cancer that has spread to only a few spots in the liver or lungs. About 40 patients will receive a specific chemotherapy first. If the cancer responds, doctors will attempt to surgically remove the main tumor and the few small spread tumors. The main goal is to see if this aggressive approach can remove all visible cancer and improve outcomes.
