First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether an extended endoscopic ultrasound can better detect cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes in people with pancreatic cancer who are scheduled for surgery. 33 adults with operable pancreatic tumors took part. The goal was to see if this imaging method could accurately identify hidden metastases, helping doctors stage the cancer more precisely before operating.
