Scientists use special scans to see inside pancreatic tumors

NCT ID NCT04395469

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of combined PET and MRI scan can create detailed maps showing which parts of a pancreatic tumor have low oxygen levels. Up to 20 patients with a specific type of advanced pancreatic cancer will have these scans before and after their standard radiation treatment. The goal is to see if this imaging method works well and provides useful information, not to test a new treatment.
