New imaging method could predict pancreatic cancer survival

NCT ID NCT06849063

First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special MRI technique called 3D-MRE can measure how stiff a pancreatic tumor is. Stiffness may help predict how the cancer will behave and how well it responds to chemotherapy. The study involves 200 adults with pancreatic cancer and uses imaging and tissue samples to check accuracy. It does not test a new treatment, but aims to improve how doctors estimate prognosis.
