Scientists test 'Smart Package' therapy to target deadly pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT03608631

Summary

This early-phase trial is testing a new treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer that has spread and carries a specific genetic change (KRAS G12D mutation). The treatment uses tiny natural packages from cells (called exosomes) to deliver a gene-silencing drug directly to the cancer. The main goals are to find the safest dose and see if this approach can help control the disease in patients who have already tried other treatments.
