New drug combo aims to extend life in pancreatic cancer battle

Summary
This study tests a new chemotherapy combination (paclitaxel polymeric micelles plus gemcitabine) against the current standard treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer. About 416 adults with advanced pancreatic cancer who have not had prior treatment will take part. The goal is to see if the new combo helps people live longer without their cancer growing.
