New hope for pancreatic cancer: chemo first, surgery later?
NCT ID NCT02959879
Summary
This study tested whether giving chemotherapy before surgery improves outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients. It compared two different chemotherapy combinations given before surgery against the standard approach of surgery first, followed by chemotherapy. The goal was to see if this 'neoadjuvant' approach helps more patients survive longer and reduces the chance of the cancer coming back.
