New screening tool aims to catch hidden need for palliative care in hospitals

Summary
This study checks whether a short questionnaire called NECPAL can help doctors spot patients with advanced chronic illnesses who could benefit from palliative care. About 200 adults in the hospital or day clinic will be screened. The goal is to see how many have unmet palliative needs and to compare their health outcomes over time.
