Doctors investigate if common painkiller changes blood thinner effectiveness in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07384013

Summary

This study aims to understand how a pain medication called metamizole (Optalgin) affects the blood levels of certain blood thinners (DOACs) in cancer patients. Researchers will measure blood thinner concentrations in 30 adult cancer patients who take both medications. The goal is to gather information about potential drug interactions to help guide safer medication use.
