First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 people scheduled for heart surgery. The day before surgery, researchers measure each person's pain threshold by applying pressure. They then track how much opioid painkiller is used during and after surgery. The goal is to see if a simple pain test can help doctors personalize pain management.
