Scientists probe the mystery of chronic bone pain
NCT ID NCT07476768
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS) experience chronic bone pain. Researchers will compare pain sensitivity and processing in 40 adults with FD/MAS to healthy volunteers. The goal is to learn if the brain and nervous system become overly sensitive to pain signals in this condition, which could guide future pain management strategies.
