Scientists map the 'Pain Brain' in hemophilia patients

NCT ID NCT07110675

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with hemophilia experience chronic joint pain, even when they're not actively bleeding. Researchers examined 146 adults with hemophilia and knee/ankle joint damage to measure how their nervous systems process pain. They used questionnaires and physical tests to identify patterns and factors that make pain worse or more persistent over time.
