Silent suffering: new tool aims to detect pain in ICU patients who Can't speak
NCT ID NCT07467551
Summary
This study aims to translate and test a Turkish version of a pain assessment scale for intensive care unit (ICU) patients who are on breathing machines and cannot communicate. The goal is to create a reliable tool that helps nurses and doctors better recognize pain in these vulnerable patients by observing their facial expressions and body movements. The study will involve 50 adult ICU patients to see if the translated scale works accurately.
