Summary
This study is testing a detailed pain management plan for children aged 10-18 having spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. It compares a new plan using a longer-acting pain medicine (methadone) against the current standard care. The goal is to better control pain after surgery while reducing the need for other opioids and their side effects like nausea, breathing problems, and long-term dependence.
