Summary

This study is testing which of two pain-relieving drugs, lidocaine or dexmedetomidine, works better for pain control after weight loss surgery. The goal is to improve patient comfort and recovery while reducing the need for strong opioid painkillers. The study will involve 40 adults undergoing a specific type of weight loss surgery called laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
