Summary

This study tests whether adding dexmedetomidine to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) can improve pain control after upper abdominal cancer surgery. About 54 adults undergoing surgeries like stomach or liver removal will receive an ultrasound-guided nerve block. The goal is to reduce the need for opioid painkillers in the first 24 hours after surgery.
