New study aims to ease pain for kids undergoing hip surgery

Summary

This study looks at two medicines, Dexmedetomidine and Ketamine, added to a standard pain block for children aged 1 to 6 years after hip surgery. The goal is to see which one provides better pain relief, lasts longer, and reduces the need for extra pain medicine. The study will enroll 54 children and monitor their pain scores and safety for 24 hours after surgery.
