Spinal shot vs. IV drip: which eases surgery pain better?

NCT ID NCT06349668

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to manage pain and improve recovery after robotic surgery on the kidneys or ureters. It will compare two methods: a single spinal injection of pain medication given before surgery versus a continuous intravenous (IV) drip of a different medication during surgery. Researchers will measure patients' overall wellbeing, pain levels, need for extra painkillers, and recovery speed over the first week after their operation.
