New pain block tested for kidney stone patients

Summary
This study looks at whether a special nerve block (retrolaminar block) can reduce pain and improve comfort for people undergoing a common kidney stone procedure called ESWL. Ninety adults will be split into three groups: one gets the nerve block, one gets standard sedation, and one gets no extra pain relief. Researchers will measure pain levels and how much extra pain medicine is needed.
