Summary
This study tested whether adding morphine to the standard spinal numbing medicine could provide longer pain relief after hernia repair. Fifty adults having surgery received either the standard numbing drug alone or with morphine. Researchers measured how long it took before patients needed extra pain medicine and how much pain they felt.
