New nerve block combo may cut opioid use after bypass surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether adding two types of nerve blocks (parasternal and adductor canal blocks) to standard pain medicine can better control pain and reduce the need for strong painkillers after coronary artery bypass surgery. About 120 adults having planned bypass surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three pain management groups. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage pain and improve recovery.
