New study tests which pain relief method gets liver surgery patients home faster
NCT ID NCT03214510
Summary
This study compares two different methods of pain control for patients undergoing open surgery for liver cancer. Researchers want to see whether a traditional epidural or a newer nerve block helps patients recover more completely and leave the hospital sooner. The trial involves 101 patients who are randomly assigned to receive one of the two pain management approaches during their surgery.
