New needle technique may offer safer pain relief for kids after chest surgery

Summary
This study looked at 70 children having chest surgery to see if a newer pain-block method (erector spinae plane block) works as well as the standard epidural. The goal was to control pain and keep the heart stable. The newer method may be safer and easier for children.
