Study finds best pain relief for Boys' surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07306806
Summary
This study compared two safe methods of pain relief for young boys having hypospadias repair surgery. Thirty boys were randomly assigned to receive either a caudal block (lower back injection) or a penile nerve block (groin injection) during surgery. The study found the caudal block provided better pain relief right after surgery, while the penile block allowed boys to walk sooner.
