Finding the best shot for Kids' pain after hip surgery

NCT ID NCT06789367

Summary

This study looked at the best way to give a common steroid, dexamethasone, to help manage pain after hip surgery in children. Researchers compared giving it directly into a nerve-numbing injection (PENG block) versus giving it through an IV. The goal was to see which method provided longer-lasting pain relief and better controlled inflammation after surgery.
