New combo therapy aims to ease pain during IVF egg retrieval

Summary
This study tests whether a gentle electrical nerve stimulation (based on wrist-ankle acupuncture) plus a standard painkiller can reduce pain and nausea during egg retrieval for IVF. Sixty women aged 21-42 will be randomly assigned to receive either the real stimulation or a sham version before their procedure. The goal is to find a safer, more comfortable way to manage pain during this common fertility treatment.
