New nerve block tested to ease pain for boys after common birth defect surgery

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after surgery to correct hypospadias, a common birth defect in boys. It will compare two different nerve block techniques, both given with a pain medication called dexmedetomidine, in 66 children aged 1 to 6 years. The main goal is to see which method provides longer-lasting pain relief after the operation.
