Which painkiller works better for Crohn's Patients' period pain?
NCT ID NCT07337902
Summary
This small pilot study aims to prepare for future research comparing two common over-the-counter pain medications—ibuprofen and acetaminophen—for treating menstrual cramps in women with Crohn's disease. The study will enroll 24 women to test whether participants can follow the study procedures at home, including taking medications during four menstrual cycles and submitting stool samples. The main goal is to identify any challenges before conducting a larger study on which medication works better for this specific type of pain.
