Summary
This study looked at two ways to manage pain after major back surgery to correct scoliosis. Researchers compared a newer numbing injection near the spine to standard IV anesthesia in 44 young patients. The goal was to see which method provided better pain relief and quality of life while also being more cost-effective for the healthcare system.
