New study seeks safer pain relief for shoulder surgery patients

Summary

This study tests three different nerve block methods to control pain after shoulder surgery. The goal is to find a technique that works well but has fewer breathing side effects than the standard block. About 120 adults having shoulder arthroscopy will take part. Researchers will measure pain levels and breathing function for 24 hours after surgery.
