First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether an extra injection of a long-lasting anesthetic (bupivacaine with epinephrine) after a root canal can lower pain, improve daily comfort, and reduce the need for painkillers. About 150 adults with tooth pain will be randomly assigned to receive the anesthetic, a fake injection, or no extra shot. Researchers will track pain levels and quality of life for four days after treatment.
