Root canal pain relief: which pill works best?
NCT ID NCT07204379
Summary
This study tested which of three common painkillers works best to reduce pain after the first part of a root canal. 100 patients with tooth pain were given either a placebo (fake pill), tramadol, Novafen (a mix of acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and caffeine), or naproxen right after their procedure. Researchers then measured their pain levels over the next 24 hours to see which medication provided the most relief.
