New injection tested to ease pain after pelvic surgery

NCT ID NCT07440576

Summary

This study is testing whether a local anesthetic injection given during surgery can reduce pain in the first day after a minimally invasive procedure for pelvic organ prolapse. 58 women having this specific surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the pain-blocking injection or a placebo saline injection. Researchers will measure pain levels and pain medication use to see if the injection provides meaningful relief.
