New drug duo aims to cut Post-Surgery pain and opioid need
NCT ID NCT04862845
Summary
This study tested whether giving two existing medications, duloxetine and pregabalin, together could better manage pain after liposuction surgery. The goal was to see if this combination could reduce patients' need for strong opioid painkillers and improve their recovery experience. Researchers enrolled 90 adults undergoing elective liposuction to compare pain levels, medication use, and side effects.
