New study aims to improve pain control after knee surgery

Summary

This study tests whether adding morphine or dexmedetomidine to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) provides better pain relief after knee surgery. Fifteen adults undergoing knee surgery will receive one of the two combinations via a nerve block. The main goal is to see how long it takes before they need additional pain medication.
