Nerve block showdown: finding the best pain relief for kidney transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07059455

Summary

This study compared two different nerve block techniques to see which one better manages pain after kidney transplant surgery. Researchers tested the Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) and the Transmuscular Quadratus Lumborum Block (TMQLB) in 40 adult patients. The main goal was to see which method resulted in lower pain scores and less need for additional painkillers in the first 24 hours after surgery.
