Rinse to relieve pain: new study tests simple step to ease recovery after hysterectomy
NCT ID NCT07467577
Summary
This study is testing if rinsing the abdomen with salt water during a specific type of scarless hysterectomy (vNOTES) can further reduce pain after surgery. Researchers want to see if this simple step helps more than just using low gas pressure during the procedure alone. They will measure pain levels and painkiller use in 94 patients to find out.
