Simple injection could ease recovery after common Women's surgery
NCT ID NCT07435909
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting a local numbing medicine (bupivacaine) into the small incision sites and the top of the vagina at the end of a laparoscopic hysterectomy helps reduce pain after surgery. About 120 women having this surgery for non-cancerous conditions will be randomly assigned to receive the injection or not, while all receive standard pain medication. Researchers will measure pain levels over the first 24 hours to see if the injection helps patients recover more comfortably.
