Numbing shots after hysterectomy may cut pain
NCT ID NCT07435909
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting a numbing medicine (bupivacaine) into the small cuts and the top of the vagina after laparoscopic hysterectomy can lower pain. About 120 women having this surgery for non-cancer reasons will be randomly assigned to get the injection or not. Pain levels will be checked for 24 hours after surgery to see if the injection helps recovery.
